Youth Conservation Corps Returning To USU Uintah Basin Vernal Campus

A program for 17- and 18-year-old high school students has returned to the USU Uintah Basin Vernal Campus and the application deadline has been extended for interested candidates. The Utah Conservation Corps has partnered with USU Uintah Basin to re-launch the Youth Conservation Corps program during which students work with local public land managers over the summer enrolled for an 8-week experience with AmeriCorps. The Youth Conservation Corps season will run June 19th through August 11th and youth receive a living allowance and education award of a combined $4,500 dollar value. Project sites this summer include Dinosaur National Monument, BLM Vernal Field Office, and Ashley National Forest. The deadline to apply is May 19th.
