Another community meeting is scheduled for those affected by the Yellow Lake Fire, this time being held in Tabiona. The official report on Sunday shared that the Yellow Lake Fire is nearing 30,000 acres and was estimated at 23 percent containment. There were 848 personnel assigned to the blaze and winds on Saturday pushed the northern boundary of the Yellow Lake Fire across Soapstone Basin towards Iron Mine Road. The Yellow Lake Fire started on September 28th. The cause is still listed as Undetermined though a fire official speaking during the Yellow Lake Fire Sunday afternoon meeting in Kamas stated that they know it is human caused but still under investigation. Tonight’s community meeting is scheduled for 6pm at the Tabiona School Old Gymnasium. This meeting will also be live-streamed on the Ashley National Forest Facebook page and the recording will be available on the national forest pages afterwards.
