The 2023 Sweetwater/Daggett County 4-H/FFA Livestock Auction took place recently and generosity was present in full force. There were 105 animals that were shown to a packed house and were sold for a total of over $492,000 dollars. The auction raised around $430,000 dollars in 2021, and $550,000 dollars in 2022. The amount varies from year to year depending on how many animals are up for auction. There was a buyers barbecue taken care of by the Sweetwater County Farm Bureau and Western Wyoming Beverages. The community goodness didn’t stop there as RSNB Bank and Industrial Services made donations that covered auction expenses that are typically deducted from the proceeds received by the kids for their animals.
