The second public meeting regarding the Vernal Regional Airport Master Plan is fast approaching. Vernal City and the airport announced work on the master plan early last summer sharing that 5 public meeting would be held on specific topics and public input was encouraged throughout the process. This month’s meeting will be a presentation of Inventory and Forecast for the airport. “The inventory identifies the physical environment of the airport, such as soils and terrain, and includes documentation of all major airport components, structures, and pavement,” shares T-O Engineers. “Identifying future aviation demand is a critical element in the overall planning process for any airport. The forecast process establishes the demand, which ultimately defines an airport’s ability, or lack thereof, to accommodate both existing and future aircraft activity…Projections of aviation demand were prepared for the Vernal Regional Airport Master Plan for the 20-year period through the year 2039. These projections, as well as the identified critical aircraft, will be presented during the meeting.” Visit www.to-engineers.com for more information under the ‘Project Portal’ tab, ‘Recent Jobs Posted’. All are invited to attend the meeting on Monday, November 25th, at Vernal City Hall at 6:30pm.
