A woman has been charged after smashing up a vehicle in Roosevelt and then running
from police. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 22-year-old Marley Nicolett
Sauter used a long skateboard on February 27th to hit a vehicle multiple times and break
out the windshield and rear window near 650 North 450 East in Roosevelt. She also
allegedly stabbed a hole in the front driver’s side tire and attempted to do the same to a
rear tire. When officers arrived they could see the dents in the hood and damage caused
by the skateboard. They found Sauter a few blocks away near L&L Motor and upon
approaching her and trying to detain her she took off on foot. After Sauter was almost hit
by a car and a failed taser attempt, the officer eventually caught up and took her into
custody. Sauter is charged with 3rd degree felony Criminal Mischief.
