A woman was eventually arrested after contacting authorities and reporting a false emergency in the Neola area over the weekend. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a woman had called into dispatch reporting that there was a house in which she could hear small children screaming inside the residence. She also reported hearing gunshots and that there was blood everywhere. There was initial confusion from the call because her report was for a home in the Neola area but she also reported that a house in the Mountain Home area needed checked on as well. The woman refused to give her full name but they were eventually able to determine who it was based on prior incidents in which an individual had falsely reported information to Dispatch. Officers responded to the home where specific people had been named and it was determined that there was no emergency. Officers were able to locate the individual suspected, Kaitlyn Liddell, while she was walking on a road in Neola. Due to her fast rate of speaking and difficulty staying on a subject, it was believed that Liddell was under the influence of a controlled substance. She was brought into custody. The officer that spoke with the individuals in the home that Liddell reported said that Liddell had interacted with one of the residents before making the call to Dispatch. The resident said that Kaitlyn Liddell was being belligerent and so he told Kaitlyn that she needed to continue on away from the home. 36-year-old Kaitlyn Liddell is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Emergency Reporting Abuse, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon by a Restricted Person, and Intoxication.
