Close your eyes, click your ruby slippers three times, and wish for great seats because Vernal Theatre: Live is opening their young performers edition of The Wizard of OZ this week. This timeless classic features iconic songs such as “Over the Rainbow” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard”, as well as some songs unique to the stage all performed by youth, ages 8 to 16, from the Uintah Basin community. This production is perfect for the whole family as the production is only an hour long. The show opens Wednesday, July 29th and starts at 7pm. There will be a show each night until Saturday, August 1st, with a matinee on Friday and Saturday at 2pm. The Basin has such an abundance of talent that the show features two completely different casts.
