As the potential spread of Vesicular Stomatitis Virus in livestock remains a concern for the region, Uintah County’s Western Park announced Thursday evening that they will remain under quarantine. “We apologize for any inconvenience,” shared the Western Park, “however, we appreciate the understanding as we try to keep the well-being of all animals protected.” Cases of Vesicular Stomatitis Virus (VSV) have been spreading in the region including cases in Uintah and Duchesne Counties. If you suspect an animal has VSV, immediately call the State Veterinarian at 801-538-7162.
