The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources has released information concerning a closure on the Duchesne River. On Friday, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources announced that the West Fork of the Duchesne River will be closed from May 15th to July 8th. This is “to protect spawning Colorado River cutthroat trout. This closure applies to the confluence with Wolf Creek upstream to the headwaters, excluding Wolf Creek.” In 2022, there was an increase in violations so all are encouraged to plan ahead and get educated before making the trip to fish.
