After a successful week 1, the Rotary Club of Vernal is inviting new entries for week 2 of their Shop Local & Win! contest. Using their own funds, the Rotary Club is purchasing $1000 dollars in gift certificates each week for 8 weeks from local businesses and those gift certificates become the prizes in the contest that encourages the community to shop local. Simply put, locals who make a minimum $10 purchase from a locally owned non-franchised business and send a picture of their receipt to ‘Rotary Club of Vernal, UT’ over Facebook messenger are entered into a drawing for the fantastic gift card prizes. After a successful first week, Rotary Club has answered frequently asked questions with the following: You can enter multiple entries but you cannot turn in a receipt for the same business within the same week. Receipts can be submitted from local businesses located anywhere in the Uintah Basin. Receipt submissions will only be accepted through social media so that Rotary Club can maintain social distancing.
