Certain recreation sites are temporarily without water around Flaming Gorge due to a water leak in the area. Ashley National Forest has shared that the pipeline that supplies water from the Greendale water treatment plant on the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area has developed a leak. This means that water at certain campgrounds and recreation sites on the eastern side of Flaming Gorge Reservoir is temporarily unavailable. These include: Greendale Group and Family Campgrounds, Firefighters Campground and dump station, Deer Run Campground and dump station, Cedar Springs Marina, and Cedar Springs Campground. “Forest crews are working to locate and repair the leak as quickly as possible,” shares the announcement. “However, an exact date and time for completion is not yet known. The affected recreation sites remain open, but water is unavailable until the repairs are finished.”
