The Vernal Middle School Principal is preparing for a big job move within the Uintah School District after nearly 8 years as Principal. Superintendent Dr. Rick Woodford announced Monday that Dr. Mistalyn Leis has been appointed interim director of human resources for Uintah School District in response to HR director Rick Johnson moving on to a job opportunity outside the school district. Johnson is leaving the district on February 28th after serving as an administrator for more than a decade and Woodford says he will be greatly missed and the district wishes him all the best. Leis is in her 22nd year with Uintah School District and holds a Master’s Degree in school counseling and administration and a doctorate in family psychology. Leis will move to the district office on February 22nd. An interim principal for Vernal Middle School has yet to be announced.
