Vernal Woman Charged After Selling Property Stolen From Dutch John Resort

A Vernal woman is facing a felony charge for allegedly attempting to sell stolen property. According to the Probable Cause Statement, on January 17th, 37-year-old Kayla Ann Carter attempted to sell a stolen electric bicycle on the internet and had previously attempted to sell stolen electronic door locks as well. Carter “was found to be in possession of the stolen bicycle along with stolen copper wire and electronic locks. Trailers belonging to the Dutch John Resort were also found on her property. [Carter] admitted that she knew that the door locks and the electric bicycle belonged to the Dutch John Resort.” Carter is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Theft.
