It’s time to get out hunting with valuable prizes waiting to be found. ‘Vernal ROCKS
(Official)’ have once again hid cash prize rocks around Uintah County and thanks to the
Active & Healthy Committee, along with TriCounty Health Department, cash prize rocks
worth $100 dollars and a grand prize rock worth $500 dollars are waiting to be found and
cashed in. A few clues have been shared for hunters. The 4 rocks could be hidden
anywhere around the following locations: Remember the Maine, Flume Trail, Ashley
Nature Trail, Moonshine Arch, Naples Walking Path and Bike Trail, and Old Fort Ponds.
“The rocks are visible from the trail,” shares the announcement. “You will need to leave
the trail to retrieve it. They may be higher than eye level and they may be partially
covered. Obviously the $500 rock will be a tad more challenging to find. The rocks are
hidden well. They are hidden to be found by someone searching for it. They are not
hidden for someone to stumble upon easily.” Also remember to hunt at your own risk!
Keep an eye on your kids and keep an eye out for critters. Be sure to join the ‘Vernal
Rocks (Official)’ Facebook page and if you find a prize rock, comment on the original
post with this year’s information. Take the prize rock to Vernal City Hall to collect your
winnings! Good luck and happy hunting.
