A local event in its 4th year made a huge economic impact this weekend. Uintah County Tourism and Events hosted the Vernal Rock Rally with just over 200 jeeps from 10 different states. “Jeepers enjoyed riding 13 different trails for 3 days,” shares Uintah County Travel and Tourism Director Lesha Coltharp. “And a night ride by lights on Friday after the first annual Shine and Shine that was co hosted by downtown auto group. The event brings in over $200 thousand dollars to our local economy. Hotels, campsites, gas, goods, and equipment/repairs all saw an increase due to the Vernal Rock Rally.” The event takes a fantastic team to plan. It is chaired by Mike Cook from Uintah County Trails and is organized and implemented by Uintah County Tourism and Events.
