Law enforcement will be out in force over the holiday weekend looking for those who have made the wrong choice to drink and drive. Sgt. Roth of Vernal Police Department recently visited the Evans Family Media studios with a reminder for the public that even a 1st time offense is a very expensive and life changing event and it’s not just for drinking alcohol. This can include pain medication, illegal narcotics, and marijuana. Driving impaired will cost thousands of dollars, your vehicle will be impounded, and your driver’s license will automatically be suspended. With so many great resources for other forms of transportation, Sgt. Roth says you simply do not want law enforcement being your Uber driver. If you want to celebrate and drink then have a great time but be responsible and plan ahead. Never drink and drive.
