Vernal City Police have confirmed that a stabbing took place at a Vernal City residence near Ashley Regional Medical Center in the early morning hours of September 13th. According to a press release from Vernal PD, officers found that three people had been assaulted and received injuries and at least one person had been stabbed by an unknown assailant. The suspect was described as a male subject wearing all black. Vernal City Police had been dispatched to the same area as the stabbing 30 minutes prior on a complaint of a suspicious person consistent with the description of the suspect in this case. Police are seeking any information on persons seen walking in the area around Ashley Regional Medical Center
