Law enforcement officers can only do so much when it comes to protecting citizens from thieves. The majority of what can be done comes down to the citizens themselves. While taking precautions is always recommended, Vernal Police Department is once again making it clear why. “The Vernal Police Department has responded to an increased number of reported thefts and would like to remind the public to be diligent in locking cars and residences,” shares Assistant Police Chief Keith Campbell. “Vernal PD would also encourage citizens to report any observed suspicious activity. With the communities help, we can reduce the number of thefts and identify and apprehend the offenders.”
