A Vernal man is facing felony charges following a domestic violence call on November 15th. According to court documents, the man assaulted his wife after she would not give him his car keys while he was intoxicated. A minor child in the home heard a loud sound and tragically went to see what was happening. 47-year-old David Zapata was arrested and has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Domestic Violence in the Presence of a Child, and Intoxication.
