While there was no official information released from the FBI on Thursday, law enforcement confirmed that local strike force as well as officers from Uintah County, Naples, and Vernal City assisted on an FBI operation on Thursday that included a search warrant of a Naples residence as well as a Vernal residence, during which a motorhome on the property started on fire. The Uintah Fire District issued a press release specifically about the fire. According to Fire Marshal Jeremy Raymond, Vernal City and Uintah County Fire were called to a structure fire at approximately

located near
300 West 500 North.
“Upon arrival a fire was located in a motorhome in the bedroom area,” shares a press release from the Fire District. “The fire was venting through the roof. Access to the motorhome was difficult because of miscellaneous storage items. Crews were able to extinguish the fire in about 15 minutes.” An individual had been in the motorhome but had climbed out a window in the bedroom and had been treated and transported to Ashley Regional Medical Center before the fire fighters arrived. The fire’s cause remains under investigation. The total damage is estimated at $15,000 dollars. No further information has been released on the FBI operation.
