The Vernal City sewer line construction project is finishing up. Vernal City reported on Monday that the work on 100 South from Vernal Avenue to 200 West is complete but the road is not done as they are waiting on asphalt. It is anticipated that the paving will be completed within the next couple weeks. During the design phase in 2022 it was explained that the project was needed to replace the severely undersized sewer line with a larger line and that the upgrade was important for additional development in downtown. The 100 South sewer project had a few hiccups along the way as unexpected situations required extra time and creative solutions. Issues included finding lateral lines that needed fixed and an 8 inch water line that was not known but was found in the way of the project. In each case adjustments were made. Vernal City has been grateful for the community’s patience throughout the sewer line construction project.
