Vernal City Council approved sponsorships for two upcoming events during their Wednesday City Council meeting. Sylvia Wilkins from Uintah County presented on the 2017 Energy Summit coming up the end of this month. The council approved a sponsorship of $2,250 dollars for the event. Uintah County Travel and Tourism Director Lesha Coltharp requested a sponsorship for the Utah Tourism Conference being held next month. The council approved $500 dollars for the event. The Vernal Chamber also donated $500 dollars to the event and Uintah County donated $5,000 dollars to the event.
