Vernal City is clearing up some confusion going around. “Property taxes are a trending
topic in Uintah County,” shares a Vernal City announcement. “The proposed property tax
increase is only for the Uintah County levy. Vernal City is not proposing a tax increase
and remains in the lowest 12% for property tax rates among Utah cities. Vernal City
Mayor and Council remain committed to quality services with a low tax rate.” The public
hearing scheduled to discuss Uintah County’s proposed tax increase is taking place on
November 7th at 6pm at the Uintah Conference Center.
