An exciting community project is underway and community input is needed. Vernal City and Uintah County have teamed up on a downtown Vernal planning project. “The downtown Vernal plan will be developed over the next 5 months with many opportunities for ideas and input from residents and businesses,” shares Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion. “A better plan will be realized with more input from residents. Vernal City was awarded two grants to assist in the planning effort.” The project is based on the outlook that downtown Vernal has the potential to become a retail and tourist hub with walkable areas.
