The Public Relations Committee of the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce recognized the Vernal Christian Church and its members for their humanitarian efforts during a recent Chamber luncheon. After the major earthquake in Haiti in 2010, the Vernal Christian Church determined to do something to help those people and in the last 6 years have made 7 service trips there where over half of the population lives in severe poverty. Among other major efforts to serve, the Vernal Christian Church is also a main organization that supports the Rapha House organization that provides a home to girls rescued from sex trafficking.
