The Utah Legislature opens this week and the Legislative Committee of the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to protect the interests of Uintah County and would love input from the community. The stated purpose of the Legislative Committee is “to be actively involved in the legislative process by being aware of what is happening in the legislature, supporting or not supporting bills or State regulations that will affect our area in particular and the general state population as a whole and maintaining regular contact with our Legislative Representatives.” The committee has been very successful. Anyone who would like to make the committee aware of any relevant bills or proposed legislation is invited to contact the Vernal Chamber at 435-789-1352. The Legislative Committee is meeting today as they kick off this legislative season.
