The Vernal Chamber hosted two events back to back at the Uintah Conference Center last week with a turnout from across the state. The 2023 Business Symposium welcomed 225 people and the Rural Utah Chamber Coalition Conference hosted about 180 people. “People came from as far away as Kanab in the South, the West Desert, and as far north as the Bear Lake Valley,” shares Vernal Chamber Executive Director Nathan Zilles. “The state was very well represented as well as our local area! All topics received were around business development and allowed for a better understanding of international, federal, state, and other local business resources.”
One of the highlights during Friday’s conference was hearing from Utah State Treasurer Marlo Oaks who spoke on global governance and the effects of ESG ratings on individuals and businesses. Treasurer Oaks continued the conversation after the conference with a radio interview at the Evans Family Media studios. All are invited to tune in to listen to the interview on this relevant topic today at 5:00pm on KVEL AM920 and FM 104.5.
