Vehicle Pursuit Ends In Arrest; Bag Of Fentanyl Pills And Weapons Recovered

A vehicle pursuit on January 16th ended in the arrest of a convicted felon who was in possession of a large amount of fentanyl pills and weapons. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, the officer attempted to pull over a vehicle in rural Duchesne County at approximately 5000 South and 2000 West that had a revoked plate and no insurance. The vehicle picked up speed and traveled through oil field properties on dirt roads. The driver appeared unable to control his vehicle at times and would slow down and eventually stopped. After refusing to cooperate with police a Taser was deployed and 46-year-old George Earl Sireech was placed in handcuffs. Drug paraphernalia, brass knuckles, and a large switchblade were on his person. Sireech appeared to be impaired from drugs. A full bag of Fentanyl pills were located in the vehicle as well as a large knife. The quantity of Fentanyl was determined to be in an excessive amount for distribution. Sireech was arrested on the offenses of Failure to Stop at Command of Police, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, DUI, and other offenses.
