Vandals are at it again, this time at McCoy Flats. The Vernal Field Office-Bureau of Land Management is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying anyone involved in vandalism to the McCoy Flats Trailhead. “On August 22nd, it was discovered that vandals removed multiple signs donated by the public, causing significant damage to the sign and surrounding area,” shares the announcement from the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office. “BLM law enforcement is asking the public to report any information they may have identifying person(s) responsible for this incident.” There is a $500 dollar reward from the BLM for information leading to the conviction of the person(s) responsible for the removal and vandalism of the McCoy Flats Trailhead sign. Information can be relayed to BLM law enforcement at (800) 722-3989.
