Appointments are now being made for adults 70-years-old and older in the Uintah Basin that would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. According to a TriCounty press release, the nurses with TriCounty Health are working tirelessly to vaccinate educators and are looking forward to helping the older population. “We are excited that so many of the elderly community is interested in the COVID-19 vaccine and ask that the community be patient as we get schedules worked out and appointments made.” shared KayCee Asay, director of nursing at TriCounty Health. “As long as we have vaccine available, we will be administering the vaccine, it may take time to get everyone scheduled but we are working daily to accommodate.” To schedule an appointment call the COVID-19 hotline 1-800-456-7707. Choose option 6 and press 1 to talk to a person who you will give your contact information to. Someone from TriCounty Health will then get in contact with you to schedule an appointment for a vaccine. The press release emphasizes that after an appointment is made, it is imperative that the appointment is kept because the vaccine is time and temperature sensitive.
