Van Tassell concluded the motion by emphasizing that the District is honoring the employment contract and that the separation agreement includes a list of the projects that Massey qualifies to receive the 1 percent bonus on. Following the Board’s unanimous approval, a member of the public asked if Mr. Massey plans to sign the proposed agreement. Massey responded that he understands the information shared in the motion and indicated that he needs to review the proposed separation agreement with his lawyer.
