Not only is the Ute Boys Wrestling team back-to-back state champs, their coach has received a coveted award for the second year in a row. Coach Phillip Keddy was selected by his peers as the recipient of the Utah High School Boys Wrestling Coach of the Year award. “Keddy coached Uintah to a perfect season this year,” shares Uintah High Athletics. “As a team, the Utes won every dual and tournament they competed in this season, including their second consecutive state title after moving from 4A to 5A this year. Last [week]’s championship win is Uintah’s 25th state wrestling title in school history.” Congratulations Coach Keddy on a well deserved award.
