Duchesne County Area Chamber of Commerce is providing an opportunity tonight to hear from Utah State Treasurer Marlo Oaks on an important topic. Mr. Oaks wants to help everyone understand the current ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) agendas being used to penalize businesses when they seek financing from leaders. Oaks says the ESG policies are distorting capital markets and denying funding to companies that are not in compliance in the areas of environmental, social and governance. All are invited, with Mr. Oaks specific request that those associated with companies, especially in the oil, gas, and mining industry as well as electric companies, please come and learn. He will provide education on how ESG will impact the business climate and what can be done about it. This free event takes place tonight at 6pm at the Grace Events Center in Roosevelt.
