The Utah Asphalt Pavement Association held their annual dinner and reception at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper on Monday and a Uintah Basin project was recognized. Representing Uintah Special Service District 1, SSD1 Director Cheryl Meier accepted the award for the 2023 Quality in Pavement Preservation for Seep Ridge Road. The Seep Ridge Road project paved 52 miles of road and utilized $6.5 million dollars in grant and matching funds secured with no loans. Of course a project of that size takes a large team and Jones and DeMille and Geneva Rock were both thanked for their work on the project that was years in the making.
