USU-Uintah Basin celebrated 50 years of higher education in the Basin at their Heritage Gala held
Tuesday night
at the Uintah Conference Center. The event recognized the founders, benefactors and community partners that have played a role in that accomplishment. “It was impressive and humbling to see in person how many people and organizations have worked together to make this campus such a success in the Uintah Basin,” shared USU President Noelle Cockett. “We have been blessed immensely to have such wonderful people working to make sure this campus developed into an institution providing needed education to locals so they could build a better life from a college degree.” USU-Uintah Basin Executive Director Dr.

emphasized that this campus is built on a foundation of community organizations, businesses and individuals who believed that the the Uintah Basin needed higher education so there are many to thank for the schools past, present, and future.
