It’s been a great year for recognition of USU Uintah Basin staff statewide. The USU Advising Awards Committee has announced that Maygen Simm has been named the USU statewide Professional Advisor of the Year. “We are all aware of the many contributions Maygen gives to our campus, but this award certainly illustrates her commitment to our students as they navigate through their journey with us at USU,” shares Robert Peterson, USU Uintah Basin associate director. “Experiences gained with our students will long be remembered not only by her but also countless students who will have benefited from her advising and example. We are absolutely thrilled for this acknowledgement and know it is well deserved.” Simm is a first generation college student, graduating from the University of Utah in 2013 and earning a master’s in instructional leadership in 2020. Congratulations Maygen and well done!
