UDOT is working hard this year with over 180 projects scheduled throughout the state. In 2017, UDOT estimates $3.1 billion dollars will be spent on construction projects. A $35 million dollar Basin project that is just heating up has made the top 10 list of UDOT projects that will affect Utah drivers this year. Listed by UDOT at number 9, the Highway 40 Myton Bench Widening project will have travel impacts throughout the year. The project will widen a six-mile section of Highway 40 to five lanes in Duchesne County. The new travel lanes, along with 10-foot shoulders, aim at keeping traffic moving on that busy and important stretch of road that links major Basin communities with the Wasatch Front.
