Uintah Riders All Terrain (URAT) held its annual poker run on October 8th with great
success. The run offers participants awesome views of fall colors, all for a great cause.
The funds raised were used to buy food that was then donated to Discovery Elementary
for the Backpack Buddies program.
“The Backpack Buddies program provides students with easy to prepare, kid-friendly food to supplement meals over the weekend or during school breaks,” shares the school district’s announcement.
“In Uintah County, 18 percent of children experience food scarcity. That’s the 5th highest rate in Utah.” The school and the District thank URAT for their donation to the program and invites individuals and groups to learn more and consider donating as they are always looking for interested parties to donate to the Backpack Buddies program.
