The Duchesne County Library System announced Tuesday that their libraries have been closed to the public until further notice. “Curbside checkout continues and returns to the drop boxes have now resumed,” shares their announcement. “The library has instituted a quarantine procedure to address health concerns about returned items.” Due dates on all items have been extended through May 1st and it is not required to return items yet. The library also asks that you do not return or check out items if you or someone in your home has been ill in the past 3 days. Curbside pickup is still available Monday through Friday. Uintah County Librarian Sam Passey shared on Tuesday that while their doors are locked they are still offering drive-up service. In order to utilize the service, call 435-789-0091 or what is preferable is using the catalog on the website to order materials. Once items have been pulled you will be notified and pickup is available Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm at the Library’s back door. As a reminder, all due dates on materials are extended. The Uintah County Library also has audiobooks, ebooks, and options to stream movies online. The Children’s Librarians are streaming storytimes on Facebook and the library catalog can be found at https://catalog.uintahlibrary.
