Duchesne County Commissioner Irene Hansen wants to assure the public that the Duchesne County cleanup days will be happening, with one slight modification. The K and K Transfer Station in Ballard has made the choice to postpone their participation for health and safety reasons. Even with that being the case, the cleanup must go on so all garbage and residential refuse will have to be taken to the county Bluebench Landfill. The annual free dump week hosted by the county starts on Saturday, April 22nd and runs through Saturday, April 29th. It allows all residents of Duchesne County to take loads to the Blue Bench location ONLY. The landfill opens at 8am and goes until 4:30pm. All loads must be tarped. Flyable loads that are not tarped will be charged at the regular rate. Hazardous waste will not be permitted. Commercial garbage will be charged at the regular rate.
