Union High School Sterling Scholars Announced

High achieving high school seniors in Utah will compete in the Sterling Scholar competition in the spring and Union High School has announced their representatives. Sterling scholar for English is William Bertoch, Mathematics is Kaleb Womack, Social Science is Tyson Guymon, Science is Britney Ivie, Computer Technology is Devin Sessions, Skilled and Technical Sciences Education is William Butcher, Agricultural Science is Jacelyn Frost, Family and Consumer Sciences is Catlien Kettle, Business and Marketing is Halle Eschler, Speech/Theater Arts/Forensics is Claire Staker, Vocal Performance is Krista Hanke, Visual Arts is Sharyse Bird, Instrumental Music is Annikah Burnham, Dance is Irylan Thomlinson, and General is Eliza Beales. “Sterling scholars have high GPA and ACT scores along with taking AP and concurrent enrollment courses,” shares Union High teacher Michael North. “Students demonstrate leadership in their classes, high school and community. They prepare a portfolio which outlines their achievements. Sterling scholar is highly competitive and includes presenting skills and talents practiced over many years.” Congratulations to the Union High Sterling Scholars.
