Spring is knocking on the door and Union High is throwing the door open wide. The weather hasn’t quite warmed up but the snow is creeping away and Union Cougars are looking to take advantage since last year the fields were still covered with snow. Six different teams will be holding tryouts on Monday, February 24th. Before a student tries out they need to be sure to complete registration, before Monday for most sports, on registermyathlete.com. Baseball will be at 4pm at Cougar Field; dress appropriately for the weather and have shoes for both indoor and outdoor practice. You must sign up to tryout in Coach Labrum’s classroom before Monday! Softball is from 3:15-5:00 pm at the Union Field house- Contact Coach Taylor at 435-445-4569. Boys Soccer will meet bright and early at 5:15 am at the Union Field house. Be sure to contact Coach Goodrich in the library to register in advance. Track and Field won’t actually have tryouts but will start practice at the track, so remember warm clothes. If you need additional information contact Coach Wise. Girls Golf starts practice at 3:15 p.m. at the Roosevelt City Golf Course. Coach Keel is who you need to contact to learn more. Boys Tennis will have tryouts after school at 3:30 p.m.
