The Utah Department of Workforce Services has released updated unemployment data. January’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is estimated at 2.8 percent. Approximately 50,300 Utahns are unemployed. Utah’s December unemployment rate is unrevised at 2.8 percent. The January national unemployment rate is 3.7 percent. Daggett County unemployment is 3.6 percent, down from 4.2 percent one year prior. Duchesne County unemployment is 3.1 percent, which is the same as one year ago. Uintah County unemployment is also the same as one year ago at 3.3 percent. February’s employment and unemployment update is scheduled for release the week of March 25th.
