Uintah High Theatre has a rare opportunity for audiences. Tonight this talented crew opens ‘Hadestown: Teen Audition’ and if you come see it you’ll be among the first in the nation. “The cast has nineteen students so it’s a cozier feel than our big splashy shows,” shares Director Christopher Piner. “The set is one of the coolest we’ve had and it has built in some really special effects that play into the show. Hadestown is only five years on Broadway and we are already getting to do it here. This Teen Edition is the only license available right now so we feel very honored to be doing this show.” The story is inspired by Greek mythology brought into a semi modern fictional world, flavored with New Orleans and the Great Depression era. Piner says they’ve never done anything like this before. Hadestown: Teen Edition opens tonight, October 25th, and runs through November 1st, minus Sunday and Halloween. Tickets are available at Uintah.Ludus.com and all showtimes are 7pm. The runtime is 2 hours and fifteen minutes.
