The Top Ten finalists have been announced for this year’s Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards and Uintah High Theatre has 11 nominees on the list. “11 placements in the Top Ten in the state is an incredible recognition for Uintah Theatre and rural Utah,” shares the announcement. “The Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards is committed to celebrating the theatre arts in high schools.” Uintah Finalists in the Top Ten include Benson Baumgarten for Best Actor, Reed Uasila’a for Best Supporting Actor, Aurelia Harrison for Best Supporting Actress, and Lily Carlson for Best Student Scenic Design for both Hadestown and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Hadestown is a finalist in the Best Lighting Design category. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a finalist for Best Musical, Best Ensemble, Best Costume Design, Best Technical Crew categories, and Chris Piner is a finalist for Best Director. The winners of the 2025 Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards will be announced on April 12th at a special awards ceremony.
