A local teacher continues to be recognized as a standout educator in the state of Utah with the numbers speaking for themselves. Uintah High teacher Kami Elison teaches 9 to 11 career and technical education (CTE) courses from business communications to web development to TV broadcasting in any given school year. She is also the DECA advisor. This week, Elison received her third consecutive Best in State Award at the Utah State Board of Education’s Business, Finance and Marketing Summer Conference for CTE teachers in Draper. This was because for the third straight year, students in Elison’s Business Communications I class earned the highest average test score in the state of Utah at 92.5%. Congratulations to Kami Elison on the latest of many deserved accolades.
