The Uintah School Board took a moment on Wednesday evening to recognize and congratulate a Uintah coach on a recent award. Uintah High teacher Gary Galley has been coaching high school cross country for 29 years, 10 years as the assistant and the last 19 years as Uintah’s head coach. Galley himself had not participated in cross country growing up but once he started coaching he went all in and became a student of the sport. With three decades of experience it is no surprise that his coaching peers across the state voted Galley this fall as the 2022 5A Cross Country Coach of the Year. Congratulations, Coach Galley!
