A dynamic sibling duo has put together a Summer Choir for the second year in a row and the free performance is happening this week. “I have absolutely loved doing the summer choir with my brother Aaron Merryweather again this year,” shares Sharla Carbine. “Our theme is from one of the songs we are performing, ‘I come with Joy’. Joy is what I have experienced at every practice. It’s such a joy to sing with other amazing musicians in the basin! One thing I love about the music this year is the unique time signatures, right harmonies, and singing acapella.” Come enjoy some beautiful choral music performed by over 60 talented musicians on Thursday, July 20th at 7:30 pm at Uintah High School in the auditorium. Sharla also wants to spread the word that “if you love to sing in a choral setting and want to improve as a musician, [you can] come listen this year and come sing next summer!”
