Different schools in the Uintah School District are setting the example of embracing an
active lifestyle. Uintah Middle School had instructors from Bike Utah spend the week
working with students in Christine Whetton’s P.E. classes at Uintah Middle School. Bike
Utah brought bikes and helmets for everyone. They taught students safety rules, basic
bike care, and other skills.
On Thursday, the classes went on a neighborhood ride to practice everything they had learned during the week. Another great example is Lapoint Elementary’s annual Walk to School event.
Uintah School District offered thanks to all the students and families who participated and thanks to the Lapoint-Tridell Fire Department, the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, the Utah Highway Patrol and the District’s Transportation Department for helping all get to school safely that morning.
