Uintah School District has announced this year’s Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year. The Teacher of the Year is Ashley Elementary teacher MarKay Anderson who has over 33 years of teaching experience. “MarKay’s commitment to helping every student succeed is unmatched,” shares Ashley Elementary Principal Tawna Baumgardner. “She is particularly skilled at working with students who struggle with reading, and her ability to teach those who need it most is nothing short of extraordinary. She has a unique talent for meeting each child where they are and providing the individualized support they need to thrive academically.” Congratulations MarKay Anderson, Uintah School District’s Teacher of the Year! The Classified Employee of the Year is Cynthia Shiner with the Transportation Department. “Cynthia is dependable, hardworking, and she exemplifies our district’s core values in the way she serves her coworkers, students, and the public,” shares USD Transportation Coordinator Mark Rich. “She cares deeply for the students, and she understands the important role transportation plays in education.” Congratulations Cynthia Shiner, Uintah School District’s Classified Employee of the Year!
